About us

Our Aims

We aim to make frontline knowledge from crisis-affected settings visible, accessible and useful by:

  • documenting practical and tacit knowledge;
  • supporting local practitioners and researchers to publish;
  • connecting evidence with policy and practice; and
  • strengthening learning across crisis-affected health systems.

Our Approach

We work directly with frontline practitioners, health workers and local researchers to identify valuable practical and tacit knowledge that is often undocumented. We then provide structured support to develop this knowledge into accessible and credible outputs, including blogs, commentaries, policy briefs, reports and peer-reviewed publications in Arabic and English.

Our work combines four elements:

  • Document frontline experience and lessons from crisis settings.
  • Support practitioners and researchers through mentorship, writing and research guidance.
  • Publish locally generated knowledge for academic, policy and practitioner audiences.
  • Connect local expertise with wider research, policy and humanitarian networks through events and partnerships.
